The Yellow chips are a tiny bit on the green side to my eye.
I was actually surprised at how well they stack given the examples you can find in reviews online. Right now I have mine stacked 32 high and they definitely have a bit of wobble, but I don't feel like it's anywhere close to randomly toppling over. I don't have any other varieties to compare with right now but as far as I can tell they're very functional.
I would probably not recommend these as a first set since you can get technically better chips for the same price (or less on clearance), but I can still appreciate these chips for what they are and the attributes they do have.
Overall the colours are nice, and I appreciate the pattern since it's surprisingly difficult to find a bold, basic chip.
The nice part about these being relatively "cheap" plastic is that it should be a bit harder than more expensive chips, and the plain surface will wear better than anything with an inlay. The side markings are all still made by dual injection of different colours of plastic so they should practically never wear off.
Of course given that I have a large set of these my opinion will be biased, but I'm looking at these as having a different focus from most other chips rather than just thinking of them as "cheap".
My thought is that if I were going to play Poker at the beach, or on a rough surface, these would be the chips to use. Sometimes the best that money can buy is not the most practical.
As a travel set, or just for anyone who is simply not too particular about the specific qualities of a chip, I'm sure these will be more than satisfactory. (Posted on 2016-08-10)
